Saltykov-Shchedrin's Dreams
The play 'The Dreams of Saltykov-Shchedrin' includes the most popular tales by the author – 'How a Peasant Fed Two Generals', 'A Bear as Governor', 'The Idealist Crucian' and 'The Selfless Hare'. These are satirical tales, tales that expose human and social vices, celebrating kindness and honesty. Brazilian director Lenerson Polonini, following the language of M.E. Saltykov-Shchedrin, puts grotesque in the forefront, which serves as a tool for exposing human vices.
