Concert to the Front
The premiere took place on April 23, 2015.
Age category: 12+
Production
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Eduard Terekhov
The play «Concert to the Front» tells about front-line concert groups, about outstanding artists who supported the spirit of the soldiers by performing on the front line, and, despite all the difficulties, gave a good mood. During the years of the war, artists held 1 million 350 thousand performances, concerts, creative meetings for Soviet soldiers — there was not a single unit that had not been visited by front-line theaters and groups.
The audience will not only hear the songs and poems of those years, but will also learn a little more about the artists of that time. The «Concert to the Front» is based on archive documents about front-line groups and documentary memories of the artists themselves who participated in front-line groups. The older generation will be happy to remember, and the younger generation will get to know such names as Klavdia Shulzhenko, Lydia Ruslanova, Nikolai Kryuchkov, Leonid Utesov and other outstanding artists of the Great Patriotic War.
In 2017, the play was presented in Sevastopol as part of the opening of the «Big Tours for Children and Youth» program.
